Current Directory Purpose
Florida Home Health Directory is designed to help families compare home health agencies using public data, city pages, provider pages, tools, and educational resources.
Three Types of Listing Information
- Public CMS data: agency identity, certification number, location, listed services, ownership, and CMS quality information obtained from government provider data.
- Provider-supplied information: profile descriptions, logos, websites, service areas, or other business details submitted by a verified agency representative.
- Paid placement: an advertising position purchased by a provider and displayed with a clear Sponsored or Paid placement label.
How Sponsored Placement Is Labeled
A paid placement should use plain language such as Sponsored close to the provider name or placement headline. It should also use a visible border or background treatment that distinguishes it from organic directory results on desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
These standards follow the Federal Trade Commission's guidance that native advertising disclosures should be clear, prominent, understandable, and placed close to the advertising they describe. Review the FTC native advertising guidance.
What Payment Does Not Change
Payment does not change an agency's CMS quality rating, create a family review, verify insurance acceptance, guarantee availability, or establish that the agency is the best clinical option. Organic comparisons remain based on public directory information and stated sorting methods.
No Guarantee or Endorsement
Paid placement does not mean a provider is the best option for a family, is available, accepts a specific plan, or will provide a particular outcome. Families should compare multiple providers and confirm details directly.
Family Matching Requests
Current matching requests are sent to the Florida Home Health Directory team and are not automatically distributed to agencies. We will not share an identifiable care request with a provider unless the user separately authorizes an introduction or another clearly described sharing process.
No patient-referral volume is included or promised in the current provider pilot. Any future referral or introduction program involving federally reimbursed care requires separate terms and healthcare compliance review. Editorial Independence
Educational content should be written to help families make informed decisions. Paid relationships should not remove the need to disclose limitations, verify agency information, and recommend direct confirmation with providers.
