About FloridaHomeHealthDirectory.com
Helping Florida families find quality Medicare-certified home health care
Our Mission
FloridaHomeHealthDirectory.com exists for one purpose: to help Florida families find quality Medicare-certified home health care (also referred to as home care). Navigating the home health system can be overwhelming, especially during a health crisis. We built this directory to make the process simpler, more transparent, and data-driven.
Florida is home to the second-largest Medicare population in the United States, with more than 4.7 million beneficiaries as of 2025. The state also has one of the highest concentrations of home health agencies in the country, with over 1,100 Medicare-certified providers operating across 67 counties. For families seeking care, this volume of options can make the selection process confusing and time-consuming. Our directory organizes this data into a format that makes comparison straightforward.
What We Provide
Our directory includes detailed profiles for all 1,116 Medicare-certified home health agencies operating in Florida. For each agency, we display:
- CMS quality star ratings (1-5 scale) based on patient care outcomes
- Detailed quality measures including timely initiation of care, patient improvement in mobility and daily activities, medication management, and hospitalization rates
- Services offered: skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social services, and home health aide services
- Contact information with click-to-call phone numbers and full addresses
- Agency details including ownership type (proprietary, non-profit, or government), Medicare certification date, and Medicare spending comparisons
Beyond agency profiles, we provide free interactive tools to help families make informed decisions: an Agency Comparison Builder for side-by-side provider analysis, a Medicare Eligibility Explainer to check if you qualify for coverage, a Home Care Fit Quiz to match your needs with the right services, a Cost Estimator for budgeting, and a Discharge Readiness Checklist to prepare for a safe hospital-to-home transition.
Our Data Source
All provider data on this site comes directly from CMS.gov (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), the federal agency that oversees Medicare. We use the January 2026 Home Health Compare dataset, which is the most recent release available. CMS updates this data periodically based on agency surveys, patient outcome reports, and claims data, and we update our directory accordingly.
Quality star ratings are calculated by CMS using a methodology that evaluates nine quality measures across two domains: how often home health providers began their patients' care in a timely manner, and how well patients improved in key areas like mobility, self-care, and medication management. These ratings are not influenced by our directory in any way.
Our Editorial Process
All content on FloridaHomeHealthDirectory.com is reviewed by our editorial team to ensure accuracy and usefulness. Our blog articles and guides are researched using official CMS publications, Medicare.gov resources, and peer-reviewed healthcare literature. We do not publish sponsored content or allow agencies to influence editorial coverage. When we reference statistics, regulations, or clinical guidelines, we cite the original source.
Independence & Transparency
FloridaHomeHealthDirectory.com is an independent directory. We are not affiliated with any home health agency, hospital system, or insurance company. Our listings are based entirely on CMS data, not paid placements. Agencies may purchase featured listings for enhanced visibility, but featured status does not affect quality ratings, which come directly from CMS and are displayed exactly as published.
We do not accept payment to alter, remove, or improve any agency's rating or review. Our commitment is to the families using this directory, not to the agencies listed in it. If you believe any information on our site is inaccurate, please contact us and we will verify and correct it promptly.
